Slightly tart and tannic Pinot Dark berries and cherries. It’s not as smooth and elegantly as many of the Pinots I typically drink but it offers a nice change.

Drank in a group tasting of of 2016 Pinot Noir grown on the Shea Vineyard. Wines tasted were Shea Wine Cellars Estate, Winderlea, Archery Summit, Ken Wright Cellars, and Bergstrom; all single vineyard from Shea. The best was Winderlea and Shea Estate was #2.

Showing beautifully despite its youth, wonderful balance leaning toward darker fruit and violets on the pallet and that trademark marine sedimentary soil tannin structure.

Quite tannic, funky tasty on the finish. Interesting wine, but, in my opinion, a little low value for the price.

Velvety, earth, sour cherries, soft tanins. A great expression of Shea.

Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): I quite liked this and definitely fun to get to try. Lots of red currant and pepper right out of the gate. Seemed to settle into the glass and shift profile a bit. More blackberries. Bit darker. Overall a very young wine, but one that I'm interested to follow.
