Much better from the bottle, than from the barrel, now, you find a wine packed with sweet red fruits, spice, mint leaf, tobacco, flowers, and blackberries. Medium-bodied, with loads of ripe, red fruits and vibrancy on the palate, with just a touch of oak on the palate to round things out, this is already showing quite well. Drink from 2023-2035.

Quite polished (but pronounced) tannins with a light acidity that coats the mouth. Hints of plum, sour cherry, and cool gravel tones to it reflecting the terroir! Bit of cigar box or leather, and blackcurrant? Not a huge bouquet on this wine but a pleasant flavour. Medium to full bodied.
Strange in that I actually enjoyed this a little more in the glass that was straight from the bottle than the decanted one.
Nice but no wow factor on the nose or palate. Good everyday Bordeaux but overpriced.

Reduced bouquet, earthy w. sweeter liquorice and tobacco as well as some barnyard. Med+ body, good structure and intensity. Balanced between acidity and tannins. Wonderful finish.
Keep but maybe not too long.

Bordeaux tasting (Annandale Cellars, Annandale): Savoury, a little blackcurrant, slight pyrazine and plum, sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity, dry, tight, sour blackcurrant, reflects the vintage. Nah.

Clear medium red. Took a bit of time to unfurl, cedar box, black cherry and green pepper nose. Dry green pepper and red fruit flavours and a dry tight finish.

Family 2017 Bordeaux Blend Night: Aromas - Relatively muted aromas of damp earth, faint bell pepper, graphite, tobacco, underpinned by muted blackcurrant
Palate - More expressive than the nose, revealing a tart entry with red cherry notes, slight greenness, a slate-y mineral character, with relatively soft tannins, medium + acidity, and a long finish on fruit and acid.
The structure is here and while the nose was muted, I am anticipating this wine will relax and improve significantly in the next 4-7 years.

Soft textured, medium bodied, sweet, ripe and polished, there is a gentle, fruity quality that carries through from the attack to the already open finish.
