Great wine now... wish we’d held it longer because it’s going to be phenomenal with more age. Nice tannins, light meatiness. Paired well with a blue cheese aged NY strip.

Fabulous young Syrah from Failla. The balance of dark fruit, meaty undertones, mineral backbone and firm tannins promises a long development and a very promising end result. It's still fun to drink now, but I think there's too much to gain with patience. Hold!

West Sonoma Coast Tasting (Washington, DC): So dark and spicy and savory on the nose. Grippy tannins but fresh acid on the palate. Black cherries and dark plums laced with savory spices, mushrooms and leather. Long time ahead here.

Exceptional Syrah, one of the best favorite Failla wines I have had. He is a master with Syrah.
