Medium garnet red with bricking edges. Dark nose with dark cherries, graphite and gravel. Medium plus (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Not as much flavor on the palate with dark berries, minerality and forest floor. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2021.

For an inexpensive Napa blend this wine was surprisingly enjoyable after 12 years. A relatively good balance of fruit, tannins and earth, as well as a bit of acidity, allowed the wine to pair well with a simple pasta with red sause and seared beef. Not going to improve but a great value for the price.

This was really (and unexpectedly) very solid. Rich soil-driven mountain wine. Fairly youthful at 9 years - just beginning to hit its stride, I'd say. A nice surprise at this price point - there is a lot of very poor Cali cab being sold in this neighborhood.

Drank at Mortons with Wedge Salad, and Shrimp Alexander. After a 0ne hour decant thhis wine shows a full nose, big bold fruit, with a long smoth finish. Low acidity and tannins made for a wonderful mouthful of wine. It filled the palate wth taste which lingered for over 30 seconds on the finish.

Holding up well. Exceedingly long finish. Paired well with beef. Wished we had decanted longer.

No notes taken.
Ok blend by itself or with food (preferred).
Good color holding up well for the year.
Could use more weight.
