This is fantastic. Immediately roses jumps out of the glass with bright red fruit and a bit of earth. There’s good mouth coating acidity with a somewhat chalky tannin structure. There’s nice red fruit and blackberry on the palate. Pairing is perfect with chicken and squash or meatballs and spaghetti. Just yum!

Restaurant purchase. This was fruit forward but had just the right structure to keep it balanced. structure was split btween tannin and acid. nice finish. ready to go but will benefit from a splash decant i think as it improved with air.

Purchased two and this was the last bottle. On opening a bit of a sharp smell and the fruit was very muted. In the mouth it echoed the nose. A bit sharp with somethhing unpleasant. Muted fruit with some hints of blackberries and blueberries. Just out of balance. This is the same experience I had with first bottle and thats why I did not post a note for first one. I thought that nottle might be off, but no they were both the same. Not my cup of tea. Very disapointing as it is a great producer. Will not rate.

2018 Visit to Brovia with Alex Sanchez (Castiglione Falletto): Vivid crimson colour. A nice nose suggesting milk chocolate, dark plums, liquorice, blackberries and charred game meats. On palate, serious weight and power. Dark fruit, cassis and high cacao chocolate. Decent acidity. The 14.5% alcohol relatively seamless. Good Barbera. "A classic, easy drinking Barbera", said Alex.

Top notch Barbera with luscious fruit and enough acid to keep it interesting. I wish I had a case of this to drink now + 3 years. Cherry, fennel.

PnP. Family dinner, no TN.
Light-footed and almost weightless (in a positive sense). Very enjoyable.

Very serious Barbera... More fuller bodied, bright, lots of acidity to pair with food, fleshier than typical.
