Crisp notes of green apple, lemon rind, jasmine honey, coming together in a balanced and composed package. In a very good spot right now - even some good notes on the end. 92-93. Nothing at all wrong with this

Nose of mineral, lemon with a ballooning palate of crisp apple, lemon, and slate toward the end. A bit more out of balance than I’m used to from LF, need a touch more acid. Pleasant though

Day-old memory. Medium yellow. Tropical fruits-pineapple, mango, crisp Meyer lemon, some oak. A bit richer than other LF bottlings, and a bit less my prefered style.

Served blind, and next to a 2007 Rochioli South River Vineyard Chard, which it crushed. Lime, bright acidity, grapefruit, stone fruits and pear. While in total this wine is a it fuller in tone, it absolutely nails for balance and weight, which is just about perfect. Built well and oughta age nicely, too. Excellent showing.

This showed the connection between new world fruit and an old world philosophy. This seemed very mature and fully integrated. Some very nice fruit with citrus, lemon curd and minerality. Seemed a bit more European than Californian at certain points. Orchard fruit evident as well.

Racy and quite lively with both spice and oak influence. Orchard fruit on the greener side and zippy acidity. Citrus notes are resident as well. Some seasoned oak on the back end.

The Third chard in the line-up, with 15% new oak that is applied deftly. Ripe stone fruit, steely minerals, creaminess but with enough lemon-tangerine acidity to keep things fresh. Also shows the most reduction. Probably could use a year or two to integrate, but it feels a bit awkward right now.

One of the best California Chards made with Old World minerality, acidity and restraint (as far as oak).
