  • What a surprise to find a war year bottle that was rocking'! At 101 years of age, this still had gas in the tank. Most of the fruit has faded, but the earth, spice, tobacco, smoke, truffle and ash still allowed room for plums to poke through. Ruby with amber in color, there was freshness, soft textures and hints of cherry in the finish. What a privilege it was to taste bottled history, made while World War 1 was raging.
