Dark red, definetly gevrey, still nice decanted for 2 hrs and drank over 3hrs... Wonderful...some spice on palate, slight Carmel on front palate ... Black cherry perhaps...powerful and flavorable..nice wine

From half bottle - a great tasting experience of a wine that is drinking beautifully now. Fresh and interesting with a nice texture and an unidentifiable acid lift at the end (that enhanced rather than detracted).
Very good.

First wine of the tasting. Noticeably more colour than the Ligier-Belair and the red fruits are more noticeable on the nose and enhanced with a slight touch of minerality. Lots of acidity in the mouth though - apples ? - and I´m sure how ripe the fruit really was. A bit of yeast and some more minerality came through as it opened up. It is better then the palate warmer, but not by a lot and I know which I´d buy.

No detailed notes as this was drank socially with family, but I was pleasantly surprised by this village wine. Took some time to open up, and was better on day 2, suggesting this still has some life ahead of it.

Pretty open, some tannin, black cherry fruit with a little vanilla. With time, some earth and fall leaves. Maybe a little young, but pleasant midbodied Burg. B

Season Ending Sunday at Chateau du Clayton (shane's): nose: a bit tight at first, it started to unwind around the 3 hr mark with robust tones of forrest floor, dark cherries, bits of earthen tones, and tart tones of raspberries. Nice and young on the nose, but doing a great job showing off the Gevrey terroir with classic flavors
taste: medium/high acidity dominates on this at first with firm tannins to boot. Very young, but has classic and elegant flavors of raspberries, earthen tones, bits of red florals, forrest floor tones, and nice tart dark cherry tones. Great light feel that has a robustness to it at teh same time
overall: needs a couple more years to really get going, but this is a great village wine that has a lot of upside. Does a perfect job showing off the terroir and has nice depth to go with well defined flavors and aromas. Very lovely, this will be very pretty when it fully comes around

Dark ruby red. Like a flower at sunrise - opens up nicely and slowly. Minerals, fresh earth, spring flowers perfume on the nose. Palate - Pure core of cherry. Jammy, hot, spicy finish - layers of black and red fruits, tobacco, chocolate, pepper on a bed of rich tannins. Elegant and balanced.

Remains very dark; some game & animally notes; backward, fulsome, robust. This remains a long way from full maturity. Impressive but.........

This continues to develop at a snails pace. Modernistic. More impressive than enjoyable. Needs more time.

Dark; rather reticent, plenty of depth & latent power. Can be enjoyed now but best left for a couple of years.

Poured off a glass for an hour. Started off with a lot of cranberry. Became smooth and very fine- but a tad simple.

Supple, rich but retains panache. Expressive, drinking well, now. No rush. Terrific.

A little bottle variation maybe? This was harder and less fun than the other two that I have tried...

Very good. Not as impressed as I was a year ago. A bit more disjointed and the finish is a bit more tart than before.

A beautiful wine. Not heavy and very little tannins. A beautiful, rich fruit that was very elegant. Great QPR.

Decanted. For the first two hours, it was a bit to tart and hollow. Then, it became rich and thick with dark cherry flavors and quite impressive.
