this was surprisingly good with great texture and definition. properly mineral with a delicate shape and attractive but not quite plush red fruit and faint spice. it did have some almost chalky, reductive notes especially on the nose that reminded me of a white burgundy, but the chassagne and ramonet on the label may be influencing that perception...

Lt. red in colour, good acidity, slight fruit nose, first taste is the tannins then rather meager dark fruit flavours that can't compete with the tannins. Maybe with time this wine will balance out and be more interesting and rewarding to drink. Great cooking wine!

A wonderful wine. Very complex flavours for such a light bodied pinot. Just at the stage where it is expressing its capabilities to capture your attention with its beautiful delicate fruit favours and length.

Les Gobeloteurs Tasting (Domaine Stéphane Ogier - Ampuis): Tasting, brief note. All red cherry with spice hints. Rich for Chassagne rouge. Good+ concentration, clearly at 1er Cru level. Balanced and fun already now, with upside.

Red Ramonets are so bright and juicy. Elegance of crushed raspberry with a delicate mouth feeling that has this integrated oaky touch. On the edges it almost reminds me of a cool Cote-Rotie with those junipers and white peppers. Savoury finish.

Opened up soft red cherry. Very pretty soft floral and spice. Bright. Stones on the palate. Tightens up hard with air. Still great length. Needs time.

Huikea tuoksu. Maukas tuhdin marjainen lähes täydellinen viini!

Fruits vacillate between red and black. It is tight, minerally, compact and long. There’s plenty here upon which to age.
