This is a very classy wine dominated by the sour cherry characteristic of dolcetto (50%), which dominates the blend including also refosco (29%) and nebbiolo (21%). In style, it resembles the Italian reds of the Piedmont and Trentino-Alto-Adige. According to John Bargetto, its envisioner, the blend is determined each vintage by the relative success of each grape. The strength of this wine is in its acidity, which very well may carry it into a noble future. Only time will tell.
