  • This opens to cherries, fruit punch, and dried oregano sweetness. It evolves beautifully with a 2+ hour decant, developing savory complexity over plump and succulent fruit flavors. Another Cab that punches way above its weight class.

  • A nice Cab that was a little more then expected. It starts with a light sweet raspberry jam. It then hits us with a little pepper and spice. The wine finishes a bit thin but has a nice tartness and a smooth tanin.

  • Deep purple color with slow legs. Aromas of toasted oak and cassis. On the palate blackberry, stoniness, plum and a hint of pepper. Long leathery finish with well balanced acidity.

  • Taste New Wines for Nov (San Diego Wine Co.): 99% C.S. & 1% Petit Verdot, aged 13 mos in FR, HU, & AM oak (25% new); 14.5% ABV, 6.4 g/L T.A., & 3.76 pH; 2,446 cs bottled February 21,2018;

    N: Slightly closed; Slight char & smoke atop pyrazines & berries;

    P: Med body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt fairly quickly met by a puckerish astringency which transitions into a LONG, very, VERY slightly puckerish finish with a distinct swtness to the notable, dusty tannins. NEEDS into & poss through '21, but is a potential sleeper given its cellarworthiness @ the amazing QPR of this vendor's $13.99, which is $2 < the next lowest wine-searcher listing. 14.5% ABV; My EXC-, but SHOULD exceed that -- for the patient. 92 pts & an "Editors' Choice" from WE @ $22, and 90 WS.
