From magnum. 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Petit Verdot from the Huerhuero Vineyard and the Creston Valley Vineyard. Aged in French, Hungarian and American oak. Burnt red color. This wine had a bit of sourness to it. Lighter fruit profile with some underbrush and leather notes. Moderate tannins. Felt like it was overoaked. Not a fan. 82 points.

Even though retail has gone up ~$2 it's hard to think of a better anytime CS value one can pop and enjoy consistently for <$20, I really should make this the house Cab. Good balance of sweet black cherry & black currant, with noticeable but balanced tobacco-cedar and minty anise. Finishes with a flourish of creamy mocha on a soft but structured frame. Worthy of a decant, tasty stuff, 90 - 92+

I think the reason why I like this wine is because it combines the balance of a solid European wine with the power of the Californian terroir. Very rich nose of red fruits, plums, a hint of tobacco and spices.

When I first sipped this house wine at Chops in Virginia Beach, I was intrigued at its “purple” appearance and taste. It is fruit forward, but not overly so, and it’s somewhat unusual flavor profile -for a Cab - is a result of the high % of Petit Verdot. For the price, it’s is a really interesting wine, and was perfect with a hearty cut of beef!

Opaque with a lighter rim. Aromas of bacon fat mixed with floral notes and a hint of menthol. On the palate an abundance of fruit complemented by bacon fat, cigar box and just a hint of menthol. Medium body with a nice finish. Very drinkable now with no noticeable tannins.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab with blackberry, black cherry, some cocoa and spice on finish, needs a short decant. www.winelx.com

Haskell's Grand Tasting (Haskell's, Bloomington): First note on Cellar Tracker on this wine. Oak city. While there is some fruit under all this oak it is not balanced. A bit hot. So many better offers out there for less money.

Fruit-forward, highly accessible with chewy tannins. Black cherry, plum, cassis, hints of olive and red bell pepper.

Nice, full and dark color, med-full body, ripe plum, blackberry, a bit young and tight, needs time and air, but a pleasant wine and good value.

This has potential, but is a young wine. Let it age for 2-3 years, or decant it now.
Good color. Several fruits, but they are a bit raw.
This may get very good over time or stay as is. Hard to tell yet.
