Light to medium gold. Some richness to the nose. Soft citrus with a sweeter streak running through it. Light to medium on the palate. Vibrant, zesty tangy lemon and orange citrus offset with a mid-palate creaminess.

Notes from second day. Pear, apple, saline, some citrus, some baked apple notes from oak. Medium body, medium+ acidity, mineral notes in the finish. In a great place for drinking now. Mature, but still with several years of life ahead. My last bottle, but for my palate, this is in a sweet spot. It could go longer, but I'm happy I opened this now.

Three years later: Brightness is still there up front (apple and banana?), along with the complex low notes and salinity on the core and that wild tang that distinguishes this from other vintages. Maybe a little more rounded on the edges (not a bad thing) but this is still really youthful & fun.

PnP. Apple, pear, some lemon citrus, and seashell. The toasty oak notes give the fruit a caramel apple quality. The fruit is starting to take on a slight honeyed quality as well. There's some underlying Cameron funk, but it's not overwhelming (which I normally equate more with the reds than the whites but it's here). Medium body, medium+ acid, good salinity notes in the finish, with some underlying minerality as well. In a good place now, but I'll give my last bottle a few more years.

Tropical fruits on the nose, at times floral, with a scent of graham cracker and French herbs. Leads with lemon balm, coconut and notes of fleshy pear and apple. Crushed oyster shells, sea salt and pepper brings it to the finish. Medium acidity, balanced with nice length.
I popped this one right in a perfect window, I’ve been buying these for years and when they hit you’re hard pressed to find a better everyday Chardonnay out of the valley.
Second Sunday Group: 1999 Napa cabernets (Our house): Served double blind to the group. Cotton, apple and pear. Decent fruit, but a bit clipped on the finish. Higher acidity. This was much better (92+) a few days later when we finished up the last third of the bottle. Give a healthy decant if drinking now.

Floral, fruit and ocean breeze on the nose. Apple and lemon up front with salinity and a slight wild tang in the core before finishing bright on cutting acidity. Beautiful, better (especially as a seafood pair) than either the 15 or the 16 IMO.

Better Acidity than the 2016. Great fruit and acid with lovely malo and hint of oak. Its great QPR chardonnay one of my favorites. An annual case buy. One of the most popular wines in my house but for my palate Goodfellow Family cellars WV is even better.

Stinky but clean. Bright with good acidity. Not as light as I was expecting. Love it.

By the glass from Capers wine bar at PDX.
On the fuller side but not overdone. More fruit than butter with apple, peach, and pineapple aromas and flavors. A future buy for me.
