Marked improvement over last tasting. Fruit came forward, muddled blueberries, blackberry. saline and slight charcoal. Very good wine, can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

Certainly well made, but it is generally a disappointment compared to previous vintages and to my expectations Dragonette's wines in writ large. Very primary and comes across as a pretty generic, ripe, fruit forward, CA Syrah. Blackberries, a touch of red fruit, a little smoke and a touch of meatiness. There's a bit of a floral Cote Rotie-ish note.
Generally, all that sounds good, but the emphasis is really just the thick fruit through the mid-palate, without much detail. The tannin, acidity and generally everything were "medium", so I'm a little doubtful on any long-ish aging, but this might have been caught in a bit of a sleepy phase... maybe. In the glass tonight, it drank pretty uninspired.
***Some improvement five or so hours in. Darker, a bit more complex. Perhaps this bodes better for the future. Better, but not exactly great.***

Enjoyed the bottle, quite decent. Char, fruit, not that hot. Can definitely age more.

Funky - could almost pass for the The Rocks. Good mix of fruit and savory elements. Not scored due to palate fatigue.

Heavy on the olive, iodine and saline early. Took a few hours for the fruit to come through. Needs many more years resting

Hitting on all cylinders. Northern Rhone vibe with savory fruit, bacon, coffee, olive notes. The fruit is still there, but the wine is nuanced.

Solid Syrah, some interesting spice and complexity in the blend, didn't open up as much as I had hoped.

Aromatically styled and dry on the palate. Berries and apple skins with a hint of pepper. Open but probably not mature yet.

A little lighter than our usual Syrah but with a nice spicy taste.
