The Homage is consistently a favorite of mine from Rotie Cellars. A blend that is dominated by Mourvedre, it is plush, rich, meaty, smokey and all-around delicious. Black fruit, more cherry than blackberry and a nice touch of garrique that builds over time. A sweet floral quality in the finish with more smoked meat developing as the night wore on. Very easy drinking!

Always a fav, this is in a really good place, now. Working backward from the forever finish, the big fruit (mourvedre dominant) is well balanced by acid. The nose is similarly bold and inspiring, with crushed blackberries, cherries and mineral elements. I could drink this all night!

It’s a big fruity wine but there is more than enough complexity, acid, tannin, to make it very enjoyable. Full bodied. I like the Mourvèdre that headlines this bad boy. Probably my favorite of the rotie wines.

Whoa! A BIG wine here! Loaded red tangy fruits, with purple berry accents. Appealing Grenache markers, including a gritty tannic backbone. It also shows coco powder, drying tobacco, and coal notes. The listed 15 abv is reasonably well integrated. Not something I would hold beyond five to seven years, but two to three years should serve it well.

Wonderful varietal blend - everything as it should be: bright, intense, balanced. Could hardly ask for more.

I liked this a lot Patty and Steve brought it over for dinner. Really nice big red wine with great fruit but not a fruit bomb
