The original breakfast wine. Kinda a tropical note to teh wine. And some green apple as well. "Dawn light" is the name of the grape. Apparently the same grape as Clariette. Fresh and crisp on the palate.

Blind Whites at Nopa (Nopa SF): (Blind) Medium gold. Dry. Mildly oxidative. Yellow and bruised apples. Hint of vinegar. Dry. 13% alcohol, high minus acid. No oak. Oxidative white. Relatively neutral. Possibly Chenin? It’s dry so Savennieres or vouvray sec.
Final guess: 2016 savennieres. Good quality. A little light in alcohol.
Actually: 2016 ferrando la torrazza erbaluce. Analysis: no idea what this is supposed to taste like.

Such powerful floral aromatics, sharp citrus and ripe melon, and fresh cut fennel with a honeyed base and sturdy, tannin-laced body that were it not for the unmistakable Piemontese mineral and warmth it'd be easy to mistake this for really good sylvaner. That body and acid helped it more than hold its own against orecchiette with charred cauliflower, cannellini, salted caper, garlic confit, and roasted Meyer lemon. Could use another year or two for the flowers to calm down a bit, but nice now with the right food.

This is a dark yellow in the glass; the sommelier described the nose as herbaceous, and I can see that.
Full-bodied for a white, expansive with good persistence. Very interesting wine.

Northern Italy Wine Dinner at Sidney's (Sidney's East Berlin PA): Herbal nose is fairly strong.
Interesting wine. Crisp wine with some melon on the finish. Lots of minerality. I would order again if it was on a list.

Yellow. Herbal nose. Light to medium weight. Green flavors, a bit of glycerine, mineral finish. Reminded me of Loire Sauvignon or Gruner.
