Really delicious with aroma of apples and pear and lemon cream on the palate. Medium bodied, nice finish. Drinking well now. Thumbs up from the Wife, too.

Napa trying to go cool climate in style, this certainly evokes bright lemon and wet stones, though minerality itself is hard to detect. Piercing at times, it does seem as this was somewhat prematurely harvested to give it that fashionable reductive style. Unfortunately everything is a bit disjointed, detracting from a wine that does appear to have potential.

9 months used oak, 7% malo. Medium nose shows yellow flowers, toasted apple, warm fall spice, bosch pear, light mineral. Palate is more linear and lean than expected, rocky feel, apple peel, white pear, light spice.

Features opulent yellow fruit aromas along with cedar and vanilla from oak. Creamy in texture with a smoky character on the palate. Persistent with energising acidity.

It’s ok. Typical Napa Chardonnay but no distinctive notes. QPR is off. For the price I would pick Reynolds family or Antica.

Austin Food & Wine Festival. Not a big bombastic Chardonnay, but well balanced
