I didn't find this oxidative but it was very creamy and almost new world, kind of a turn off. I bought 6 bottles and this is the first I drank and I was not a big fan, it was well made but not my style, I'll try another in the future to make sure it was not a weird bottle because it didn't resemble what I see in CT or from professional critics but I bought 6 on auction and there were a bunch of 6 bottle lots, maybe this is why....

Domaine Rapet - Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2017. Faboulus nose . Some almond, honey and orange peel. Wonderful light yellow color. Silky acidity in the mouth. Some lemon . Its full bodied with nice acidity and overall performing very well for such a young white burgundy. Cheers !

Another very lovely bottle of this; 375ml bottle that is; lovely fresh orchard fruit with a hint of lemon peel and a bit of wood spice. A lovely feel on the palate with the depth and power you want from a CC, but with nice freshness. This is clearly still young even in this format, but quite enjoyable now with food. Bottled with diam so should bode well for aging hopefully.

Immediately expressive upon first pour. There was some freshly grated ginger, white flowers and white peach and lemon fruit. It was rich and unctuous, but with excellent detail. As the flesh subsided a little you could feel the line and minerality of the wine. Length was fabulous.

this wine was minerals on steroids... on night two I could just barely sense / taste a tiny bit of citrus to mellow the minerals and structure (acid)... at this stage, not a 'pleasing' wine so much... I'm hoping (but not confident) that I will wait 10-12 years to try my last bottle (of three total)

From 375; I decanted this for about an hour; the nose was still pretty muted after that; with aggressive swirling you get some creamy stone fruits, a hint of floral and spice notes and just a touch of minerality. The palate however was pretty much in full stride. Ripe and delicious with excellent concentration and great energy with a lovely long finish. This should develop well in the coming years.

Quite lovely. Citrus, green apple, storm fruit, sea salt. Medium to full bodied. Very mineral, great acidity. Not very deep yet, but this could develop with more time in the bottle. Put this away for another 3-4 years.

Really quite nice in 375. Approachable and fresh as many 2017s are. A bit angular in a good way, with crisp citrus, apple, and mildly honeyed notes. A tiny bit of Corton butter underneath, with a very nice finish.

Another solid half bottle. Fortunately, my last note appears to be an aberration. Drinking these way too young, but that's what 375ml's are for in the Covid era. This is indeed quite classy.

RieslingKenner-Scharzhofberger study (Oceanique, Evanston IL): Nose: The nose is deep and polished with red apples, pears, stone fruits, quince, warm oils, vanilla, spice notes, and nougat. This may be young, but it is expressive and vibrant right now in a really attractive way.
Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with tart, medium+ acidity. The feel is more in the light-heavyweight category as it shows excellent density but with a deftness to the tones of red apples, pears, stone fruits, quince, warm oils, nougat, and a touch of spice notes.
Overall: This is a lovely, young Corton-Charlemagne. It shows off excellent balance and depth along with polished stone fruits. This needs some air now to really get going but even a few years of aging will help it along.

Lemon curd, rain water, toasty new oak, some dry extract. Nice, but not much depth or complexity and overall I'm underwhelmed for the $$$. Also interesting that a review below mentions this being under diam - my bottle was under natural cork.

Interestingly, I've never tasted this producer's Corton-Charlemagne. Drank this 375ml bottle slowly over a few hours. Enjoyed it, although it's somewhat tight and austere compared to other 2017 CC's I've tried. Good juice, and glad I own it. Plus, it's under Diam, and I'm a fan!

Medium+ nose intensity with notes of lemon, green apple, mineral. Medium+ acidity. Still youthful. Decanted from bottle 3 hours.

Domaine Visit. Precise, cardamon, almond, luminous, for the long run, fresh, elegant. Best after 2030.

Intense. This wine will likely age effortlessly for ages. But with half bottles I'm content drinking them on the early side.
