  • Un-screw and pour!

Immediate Gewurz aromatics. The tropical and spice elements jump out of the glass. There's a deep, almost dark rose tone. It feels like a bass note, which is not what I expected, but it gives excellent depth. Dry and mouthfilling, this is very well done. Right there with the Navarro renditions, and stacking up well with the Trimbach yellow label, if in a darker hue. I like this very much.

  • My 2nd bottle and much better since last time. Marriage of lychee and lemon on my tongue. The light yellow liquid moves to the mid and the back of my mouth and it's tart with acidity to give balance. My mouth is coated with a joyful flavor. I keep going back to smell it more. I feel like a hound dog.

No rush to drink. Good qpr.
Went pretty good with raw salmon. I fully enjoyed this.

Feb 21, 2021: drank my last glass out of the same bottle from 2 months ago. Still so good. Time to buy more next time?

  • I really like this. Not super perfumey (no rose garden here) but serious weight and great with food.

  • Day 1: Dry... No tasting notes right now. Was busy eating. Only after first glass I had a pounding headache. Strange. Aroma and taste was a bit too faint for me.

Update: almost 2 weeks later, this opened up a bit and tastes much better. Raised the score a bit and changed to " I like it". Nice cool lemon and dry.

  • Fresh spring flowers but still somewhat reticent upon PNP. I'm mesmerized watching the yeast swirl around on the surface of the wine. Lychee, Grapefruit with sharp tart acidity on the front of the palate that fades into that Gewürztraminer twang. Long and enjoyable finish. It has some roundness to it that I don't associate with steel. This wine is not super chiseled. It's bright, but there is so much more going on — another lovely wine from Paetra and fine QPR.

    13.5% ABV.

  • Classic aromatic nose of lychee. Bright acidity, wild yeast, done in all steel, completely DRY!!!! One third the berries were allowed to macerate a few hours before pressing.
