Fresh Cherry, hints of raspberry some light black pepper mineral and earthy notes. Light and fresh body. Silky. Was quite enjoyable on its own and with our Vegetable Torlou. The best news is that the wife loved it and our challenge to get her to enjoy Pinot Noir (specifically Burgundy)

Juicy red and dark berries, raspberries, sour cherries, hints of earth on nose and palate. Great acidity and some tannin as well. Very tasty with food, and a really attractive wine. Perfect now and the next five years or so.

Tight at first. Opens up after 1-2 hours. Very elegant on the nose. Would have preferred a little more intensity. Red fruit, spices and underbrush. Balanced on the plate with subtle acidity. Best value region in burgundy.

This pours a youthful light ruby, totally transparent. The nose is lifted and pure, moderate intensity, showing light red cherries, cranberry, raspberry, mossy damp forest, a touch of tobacco, fennel seed, a pinch of toasty new wood, and an herbaceous plant stem note. The palate has medium minus tannin and medium plus acid (quite notable and almost a tad sharp). Feels structured to age gracefully. Without looking at the label I noted this had a little more alcohol than I am accustomed to in burgundy. I guessed right at 13.5%. Not so much to be a drawback, but it is notable. All in all a lovely red burgundy that should age nicely and gain in complexity.

Would almost think this is a light nebiolo from piemonte with quite firm tannins and cherries. Its quite nice but expected a little more concentration in fruit even though its a pinot.

2017 Bouchard and William Fevres (chicago, IL): The nose is fragrant and balanced with red cherries, raspberries, violets, earth tones, and herbs. There is good balance, but this lacks some depth. The feel is Medium bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and chalky, medium+ tannins. This could use a few more years to see if it picks up some weight. There is good balance, but it lacks a bit of depth on both the nose and palate.

2nd and my last bottle. Keeping the previous note, but this time it didn't feel watery, but was just right.

Drinking nicely. Forest floor on the nose with some tea and rosehip. Somewhat watery and lacks focus

I honestly liked this better a year ago. Perhaps a poor bottle, but I found this laking structure. Red fruit with a sappy feel. Some oak persisting.

Still young (2021) but very good. Blackcurrant, strawberry, tobacco, vanilla. Excellent with mushroom risotto (chanterelles) and ribeye.
