  • In Paris, at a bistro called Sacre Frenchy in the 3rd...a terrific find, great food and atmosphere. Had this along with classic bistro food. No prior experience with the wine, we just asked for something with a bit more age and this appeared...

Dark garnet color. Nose muted at first, opening to red fruits, floral and garrigue notes. Bigger fruit on the palate than expected, black cherry, earth, faint graphite. Medium wight and finish.

Versatile in pairing, good value. Showed well, expect it will continue to improve.

  • Deep red. Cool red fruits and gentle herbaceous elements on the nose. Quite persistent and dense on the palate with relatively grippy tannins. Overall, a lovely Bdx that is drinking well but I suspect can improve over at least another couple of years.
