This pours light ruby in the glass a touch of pink at the watery rim. The nose is immediately expressive and classically burgundy. The nose wafts fresh red cherry, peonies, touches of grapefruit pith, twigs, dry rocky soil, sweet cedar shavings, sandalwood, cardamom, pomegranate, and a nascent soil/mushroom element. The palate is silky with fleshy dark cherry on the mid palate, turning to medium plus acid, and medium minus tannin that shows a touch of youthful astringency. The finish is moderate in length displaying much of the nose. All in all this is developing quite nicely but I think another decade or more will help the wine come fully around more fully. Not criminal to drink a bottle now, but for my palate I'd let these rest a while longer.

Transparant in colour. Surprisingly complex in the nose. Red fresh fruits. Like cracking cherries. Rather light in the mourh with acidity in red fruit flavour. Not long, not deep, but very pure ‘little’ burgundy. A very pleasant surprise. Drink now.

Slight effervescence initially that dissipates over the course of an hour or so. On the palate, it’s raspberries and blackberries, somewhat tart, with quite a lot of spice and some rather lively acidity. It’s not bad, but it’s not particularly exciting, and given the price point, it could be better.

This became our "go-to" everyday Burgundy during the pandemic. A family favorite. A youthful vibrancy that shook away the COVID stay at home blues. Yes, we will get through this.
Bright cherry fruit with sufficient terroir and astringency showing through to root the wine. Quite round in the mouth. A long finish. Just a tad too much, residual heat in the throat.
Hard to match at under $35 a bottle.

Lovely purple burgundy kissing the shimmering light waves; un vrai Burgundian "bonjour." Spicy, ripe fruit on the nose. Taste of round ripe grapes, spice, balanced by genuine ripe fruit acid. Gurgle, and again, sunned strawberry, ting of cranberry tart stem for interest. I have boycotted Cote de Nuits for 40 years in reaction to a bottle likely filled from a train tanker loaded with some plonk from the South of France sold as Burgundy when Burgundy was struggling with grape growing, demand was overwhelming, international pricing justified filling bank accounts. Years later, arrests were made.

Retailer Cote de Nuits Tasting: Dark ruby color. Nicely aromatic. Notes of fresh raspberry & plum fruit, pressed flowers, hints of iron, savory spices. Crunchy fruit on the palate with rich depth, dense mid-palate with secondary depth. Firm & fine tannins, average length on the finish. Nicely done.

Medium intensity. Aromas of earth, forest floor, wood, black cherry and raspberry. The palate is far more interesting than the nose - with more fruit. Gentle tannins and good acidity. I had greater hopes for this wine.

This pours ruby with plenty of youthful purple and blue toward the rim. Fully transparent to the core. The nose is predominantly of mixed fresh berries and soil: blueberry, dark cherry, blackberry, and dark fresh turned wet soil. Mild accents of rose petal, fresh ginger, Chinese five spice, thyme, and toast round out the aromatic spectrum. The palate is beautifully balanced with medium tannin and acid and wonderfully sweet fruit at the core. Should age nicely for a few years, but delicious today as well. Everything about this wine is well managed. Lightly extracted, no obvious oak, seems to have some stems, but not dominated by them. Best under $50 burgundy I've ever had. Should easily merit 92+ points in a few years.

Ok the nose: explosion of red fruits.
On the palate: extremely silky. Szechuan peppers?
A very warm burgundy.

I felt a little reduction, or a little salt and pepper thing going on but Sabina really loved it. And not to say that I didn't love it as well.
