Dark purplish-ruby black. Modest nose of oak and blackberry. Medium-full bodied with a seamless texture. This is bright, fresh and quite delicious at this youthful juncture. Oak, spice and more blackberry and black cherry fruit round out the palate. Given the freshness and balance as well as moderate amount of tannin, I'd guess this will age quite well over the medium term. Can be drunk now, but will be better in a few years. Drink 2026-2033 92

Decanted about 90 minutes. Cedar, dark fruit, and some spice on the nose. Plum, dark cherry, cocoa, and peppery spice on the palate. Tannins still pretty grippy, medium plus acid, medium to full body, medium to long spicy finish. Nice aromatic and flavor complexity, will be better in a few years when the tannins settle down.

We are still trying to decode French wines - this is one of the few we have enjoyed. Less earthy/mineral flavor than many we’ve tried. While that may not be what many want, it suits us.

Mouth: A juicy pool of crushed plum, cherry pit, and black currant flavors drip down, as a brawny spine of juniper, iron, espresso, and bay leaf glides through the middle. Juniper really takes over into the long, finish, holding on that note with a light chime of black earth at the end.
Overall: A strong effort, with brawny back end notes that give huge heft at this time. Swings its weight around a little much at the moment, with ample, chunky flavors packed in. Just needs time to allow for everything to start talking to each other. Drink 2024-2036

Campfire embers, cedar, tobacco leaf, spice and red pit fruits create the core of this medium-bodied, elegant, fresh wine. Soft and polished with a solid depth of flavor and a hint of oak in the elegant finish. The wine blends 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.

It is easy to dig into the smoky black cherries wafting in the perfume but there is more than aromatics going on here. This medium-bodied affair has a plush palate, supple textures and a long, round, polished, elegant finish. The wine was made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. 91-93 Pts

Red berries, smokey, and slighty woody. Opens up immediately and great value.

The 2018 UGCB tasting Amsterdam 6/21/2021 (Amsterdam, Amstel Boathouse): A friendly, flowery bouquet, juicy, but missing a bit conviction in the midtaste followed, fortunately by a firm an good aftertaste; give this wine some time.
