Certified Organic since 2009; sangiovese 95%, canaiolo 5%; The nose is complex with some bright red fruit, but leather, wood, balsamic and baking spice notes stand out more. The palate is medium-bodied, balanced and rather elegant for a Chianti. Cherry fruit. Good acidity from front to back.

I’m not too sure about this one. Drank it over two days. On the first day there was an overwhelming potpurri aroma of rose petals that I found off putting. The next day was much better, still had aromas of rose but no longer overwhelming the red berries. Pleasant acidity and balanced tannins, with flavours of cranberry and strawberry. I personally prefer Chianti’s with a bit more spice and earthiness, but might give this another try based on the second day.

Deep purple. Nose of vanilla and raspberries with a feint hint of leather and cigar boy. Medium drying tannins with initially low acidity that came on stronger with time in the glass, with primary fruit of blackberry front of palate.

Decanted 1 1/2 hours before serving. Medium garnet color. Nose was still reserved even after the decant. Eventually opened a bit to deliver notes of red fruits, raspberry syrup, and some light tobacco. Still all of these were rather feint. Medium bodied with grippy tannins, and flavors of tart cherries turning into nice red fruits especially sweet raspberries. Great, but I think it would have been better with a longer decant.

A blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo, organic viticulture, 25 day maceration, spontaneous malo, 16 months in large oak barrels, bottled unfined and unfiltered by gravity, "durante la luna calante", 13.5% ABV. Medium deep ruby red; spicy and slightly dusty nose with a sense of green pepper freshness and fruit of cherries and cranberries; the palate displays racy acidity and a chalky minerality, concentrated but elegant and supple, finely grained but youthfully grippy tannins; good resonance and length. More finesse than the slightly burly 2016.

A high quality, organically grown wine that shows good freshness despite any challenges the vintage may have presented. A blend of 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo. Good typicity throughout. A small production of just 40,000 bottles. recommended
Enjoyed over two days this wonderful Chianti Classico is a true gem. Classic cherry notes, but backed up with wet leaves, dark berries. In the mouth more of the cherries and the fruit goes a shade lighter. A beutiful acidity that shows there is more time left for those not in a rush. #chianticlassico #chianti #monteraponi #vendemmia #italia #redwine #sangiovese #oldworld #instawine #vin #wbssangiovese

Maraschino cherry, bright red fruit, rose petal, fennel frond, and some spice. Not as much of the earth and herbaceousness as you see from some Chiantis, and not much oak that I detected. Very good, with a nice sense of focus and purity.

Love the high tone, finesse from Radda and purity of fruit, but the finish is shorter than expected, and it is pricier than it should be.
