  • Enjoyable find at Aurum in Breckenridge, where they have a well put together wine list with some interesting finds and reasonable prices. Pick this out due to familiarity of Dubrul vineyard from other WA wines we know. This 2015 opened right up with dark fruits, cassis and oak aromas. Medium to full bodied, dark plum, oak, and a hint of something either vegetal or almond, with black pepper on a long finish. Bottle opened up even more over a couple of hours. Wife LOVED it, scored it 95, I gave it 93-94.

  • This did not disappoint. Deep, clean ruby appearance. Nose was dark fruits with some red notes (cherry and raspberry) - complex basket of berry fruits. There were vegetal notes and a distinct green forest component. We decanted and held an hour as it was reticent to show fruit and a bit tight on opening. When we drank it was delicious - well structured with powerful fine tannins through out. An aggressive acidity provided a long gracious spine that carried beautiful savory fruit through a long finish. Excellent wine.
