Lovely. As most others have noted, the cherry stands out. It has a nice comfortable balance and ends with a touch of sweetness that makes you want to take another sip. Solid!

simple in the best way: easy drinking, pronounced cherry and a touch earthy on the nose and palate. decent length and harmonious aftertaste. quite enjoyable; might improve with age.
Light ruby in the glass. Nose seemed somewhat off, maybe a hint of TCA but the cork was pristine when opening. Definitely drinkable with lots of tart cherry and spice but not as good as previous bottles.

Not overly complex, but overly enjoyable. Gave it just a 30 minute decant and showed plenty of cherry and spice to keep it interesting for sure. I really appreciated the moderate/low alcohol level as well. Glad I had an opportunity to snag a few for $22.

Was excited to try this and was not disappointed. Cherry and earthy notes on the nose which followed through to the palate. Easy drinking and went well with the Tomatoes Apizza we shared with friends on the patio.
Not overly detailed notes so will pay closer attention next time, but for the money, this seems to be well worth the price of admission.

Red and blue berry, earthy funk, a hint of foresty spice like a Christmas wreath. M to M+ body, M to M- acid, mild silky tannins, moderate alcohol. A little lacking in energy but a well balanced entry level Pinot in a relatively old world style that’s drinking well young. Average value at retail, very good value at the $22 Last Bottle price. I have three more and will probably open the next in 2-3 years. 6.1/10

PnP. First of four bottles purchased from Last Bottle. Got a little better towards the end of the bottle. Harsh and closed for the most part still. Will give the rest more cellar time and a decant the next time around to see if it shows any better.

First day p&p: not wildly impressed, nose seemed tight and the wine seemed to be out of balance (acids running rampant). After two days in the fridge, it seemed a different animal entirely: delightful bouquet with strawberry/rhubarb and white flower notes along with cherry, which continued into the palate, and the medium finish. Acids now seemed in balance. Alcohol 13.5%. Decant or hold for a year or two.

Another amazing PN from a great winery. Pours to a ruby red color in glass. Aromas of tart cherry and red fruit come alive with a 1 hour decant. Tastes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, pepper and some minerals add to the extreme complexity of this wine. Well balanced acidity, tannins etc. simply amazing. Pair with any med hearty meal and you will be delighted.

Wine pours to a watery red color on the rim of the glass. Aromas of red fruit and cherry. I failed to decanter this bottle but it actually helped determine the value of decantering. Stephen Ross is one of my favorite Pinot Noirs and I usually decanter their wines for at least 1 hour. This bottle I popped and poured. The usual mix of complexity, acidity and style was lacking. The tastes of minerals and pepper were almost absent. Crazy but true how much a little O2 can bring out the best in a bottle of wine. The last few sips were almost magical as to what it could have been. I love this stuff and will continue to be a wine club member as long as they keep producing the best (French style) stuff around.

Retail $38. All of the fruit from this wine comes from the Stone Corral Estate Vineyard, but it is blended after the barrel selections for the two barrel, Black Label Arête and the five barrel Stone Corral Vineyard. For only $38? While, yes, that is likely beyond "Tuesday night" status for most of us, it is certainly a bargain for this quality of Pinot. Really light color in the glass with Bing cherry, Bay leaf (is that capitalized?), subtle eucalyptus, and a dash of black pepper. Yowza. The fruit takes the stage first on the palate, but it is quickly followed by the acidity, which ends up stealing the show. A bright, tart, fruity extravaganza of a wine. Whoa.

Not particularly complex wine, but was fantastic with food. Paired with a Chinese garlic chicken with sesame oil.

Bright and bold. Better than remembered. Sophisticated nose - very perfumed. Cedar, cherry and sandalwood. Slight essence of baking soda.

It's at just the right point, I think, and drink it up now. Cherries and spice, light and bright. Simple and pure pleasure.

Enjoyable overall but not very complex. No real need to wait for this one. I'd say drink and enjoy. And a nice Bang for the buck on this 1

Solid Etna Valley Pinot. Cherry flavors. Enjoyable (although not exactly very complex)
