  • Dang this is a good bottle. Consistent with prior notes. Sad that this is the last one for me (and I had to sweet talk Megan to get this one!).

  • One of the best wines we’ve had this year. Typical carmenere nose of crushed black pepper with hints of jalepeno, plum, and blackberry. Carmenere spice hits up front, but the Cab adds body, length, and depth along with some cassis and blackberry notes. Slightly spicy finish.

It’s pretty much fruit and flavor all the way. There are some tannins hanging out, but not many. I’d say drink within the next couple of years for a really enjoyable experience (oh, the finish, sheesh, I think we’re at about two minutes now!), but it might surprise me and show some aging potential.

  • APPEARANCE: Nice dark red color
AROMA: Nice aromas of raspberry and rhubarb
TASTE: Smooth tannins provided structure for a delicious, lip-smacking wine with a long, velvety finish. Nice ripe fruit and really enjoyable on its own and would complement many nice weeknight meals
