Very good. Great ripe black cherry on the nose, a bit of woodsy spice (balsam, herb stems kinda thing). Touch of earth. Med+ body, dark & red cherries on the palate, a little bit of raspberry creeps in, and med+ acid frames a med finish. Solid, enjoyable wine - but blinded among other Anderson Valley Pinots, was the least favorite of the group. On its own I'd never complain.

Retail $40. Under cork. Medium color with subtle aromas of black cherry, earth, and hints of eucalyptus. Yummy. The palate is balanced and harmonious with gorgeous but somewhat reserved fruit, lovely tartness, a smidge of earthiness, and just a whole lot of verve. Yowza. This is not the type of Pinot that will knock your socks off. At least initially. But if you give this wine a bit of time, and allow for some introspection, you will be rewarded. I know I was.
Tasted from a well-cellared magnum that had been popped and poured, this deep ruby Pinot offers straightforward aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, blackberries, baking spices and smoke. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, proportionately oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (13.8%), it wraps its flavors with medium-weight, somewhat rustic tannins. Dense on the mid-palate, it concludes with a medium-to-long, slightly astringent finish. This seems young, likely by virtue of the magnum format. While it is certainly reasonable to pop the cork now, I suspect that it will get better with a bit more time in the cellar. That said, it is not particularly complex and I doubt that it will ever evoke a lot of excitement. Comparably cellared magnums should easily last throughout the remainder of this decade. Drink now-2030.

Really nice. I had this closer to release and it wasn't ready, but it's showing a lot more now, and I find it typical of the Anderson Valley as well, in a good way; a rose, deep in a forest, by the sea.

Had an interesting nose of dark fruit, tar, and seasoned firewood. On the palate, there were flavors of dark cherry, anise, herbs, and iron. It had good grip throughout, and was even better the next day.

From 375. Nice nose of red fruit and sandalwood. Good structure and acid with generous red fruit. Not a blockbuster, but quite nice and will drink well for several more years.

Light ruby color and cherry on the nose says drink me now. This a well balanced wine that is light on its feet from start to finish. I really love the subtle acidity present in the moderate aftertaste. Can’t stop sipping an neither will you. Enjoy.

Aroma: plums, strawberry jam, violets. Palate: black cherry, licorice, rosemary, hazelnut. Medium body and tannin. Bright acidity. Good complexity. Will develop with a few years of age

Lightly corked. Still drinkable but not great. Cork looks great. Way above average flawed bottles in my Rhys collection
