  • Tannic and tight but shows palpable evidence that, in time, this can offer more than the standard Titolo. The aromatics are a bit brighter and sharper. There are sufficient glimpses of more complexity and refinement.

  • Opens up with lovely dark berry fruit on the nose. Several minutes later earth and wet stone show up. First sip had all of the above with medium tannins that need some time to integrate. Decanted an hour ahead of dinner, then served with a lamb/beef/sausage tomato sauce. The dark fruits really came out and held on for an impressively long finish. Plenty of acidity and tannin to handle the fat and protein in the sauce. Delicious. Still young, looking forward to the next bottle a few years from now.
