This is an exceptional wine with soft tannins, low levels of oak, fruit forward, and its velvety smooth to drink. Very hard for two people to down this bottle in one sitting, it’s so rich and better to savor slowly. Had with slow-cooked lamb shanks and polenta. 2017 blend.

Definitely fruit forward and a bit jammy. Plum, fig and cocoa. Very smooth and enjoyable. Not your typical Malbec - almost a Cali Cab/Merlot blend feel. Crowd pleaser.

Purple with a fruit-forward nose and palate. A touch jammy. The folks at Caymus have cab-ified a Malbec, but it works for me. Good structure and black licorice finish. 5+13+16+8=92

Jammy, maybe a little too jammy. Mild tannins. Good fruit, good structure. Medium finish. Malbec for cab lovers, but not what you are looking for if you want a Malbec.

Coats the tongue, extremely soft on the pallet. Ripe cherry and fruits. Very short finish. Decent Malbec - surprisingly 14.8% alcohol but you cant tell

Caymus price for Malbec but it is better than most I have tasted. I think they’re doing a little blending to add their signature. Fruit forward but still has some tannins and depth.

Friends brought this to our 4/26/19 Wine & Pizza get together. It had a rich, ripe nose of floral, red cherry, raspberry, mocha, cocoa and spice aromas. The palate was rich and layered with flavors that followed the nose. Our groups average score was 90.4

Enjoyed at Emeril’s Chop House in PA. Was pleased with this. Really came to life after 20 minutes. Some typical Caymus characteristics. Purple rim. Deep colored legs. As it opened there was a pleasant nose and taste of farm house hay. Worked great for an Osso Bucco entree. I would try again.

Impressive! Big, full bodied Malbec. Inky in color with aromas of black cherry, cocoa powder and spice. Luxurious mouthfeel with flavors of ripe plum, dark chocolate, fig and old leather. Another winner from the Wagner family.

Fruity nose and palate, earthy, soft tannins, lovely! Very much in the Caymus style. Superb with marinated grilled steak tips.

Of four wines served, most popular with dinner guests. Dark and fruity, light soft tannins, very drinkable. A bit overpriced, though.

Malbec done Caymus style. Fruit forward but not overbearing due to a pepper overtone. Best Malbec I have had so far.

Firmly on the sweet side; silky, but at times almost syrupy. Tannins basically non-existent. Felt very manipulated.

A bit jammy at first but very full and smooth. Will benefit from a few more years in the cellar. Lots of potential.
