  • Great value. Bought it after reading an article in Wine Spectator about highly rated wines that cost $25 or less. I recommend this for everyday drinking. Will be good for at least 2-3 more years.

  • 76% Zinfandel, 19% Carignane, 3% Petite Sirah, and 2% Mataro
    from extremely sandy-loam soils (Delhi loam) around the bay area
    town of Oakley, in the north-east corner of Contra Costa County,
    California USA with vines from 25 to over 100 year-old.

    A(ccuray)=2: Med cherry/ruby. Brambly, fragrant Zin blend.
    B(alance)=2: Fresh and pure components in spite of high alcohol.
    C(omplexity)=2: Dark berries, pepper, earth.
    D(epth)=1: Vibrant mouthfeel. Average length and finish.

    Wine Tally Score [2,2,2,1]= 7/10

    Though a blend, still distinctively varietal.
