I gave this a bit of air in the fridge for a few hours to let it express itself. This is a Meursault with a lighter touch while leaning into more citrus-driven tones of lemon oil, red apples, custard, vanilla bean, baked apples, quince, peach blossoms, toast, navel oranges, and nectarines. The Medium/full bodied feel carries through some extra weight than you'd expect given the nose while showing off tart, medium+ acidity. This could likely have used a few more years, but it's a real lovely village Meursault right now.

More minerally than nutty, i suppose these vines are more northern abutting volnay but by taste alone I might imagine them to be southern touching puligny. Maybe it signifies a deftness of hand. Drinks very clean and pure. Will have to get a bottle of the ‘19 vintage to try.

Domaine Lafarge Cellar Visit and Tasting (Volnay): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Ripe apple and baked apple with fleshy character and good balance. Forward in a fashion that will drink well young. Good for its level. 86-88 point potential.

Rak, snygg och med fin syra. Inte olik en chablis - man får leta efter ektoner. Mycket bra. Med lite mer komplexitet hade betyget blivit högre.
