  • Again just a beautiful wine wine. Lots of great fruit. Lots of pepper and spice. I get this flavor that I want to say is milkweed (although who really knows?). Enjoyable but of course quite young.

  • Drank this at an insane tasting that featured ‘78 DRC Romanee, ‘82 Lafleur, ‘82 Petrus, ‘01 Masseto.

Every wine was great — and the Crichet Paje was among its peers, quality-wise. Young, to be sure, but already singing.

  • The grapes come from vines on a separate hill in the Paje vineyard that are at least 60 years old. 80-90 days maceration time. 1600 bottles are made.

Extremely seductive aromas with delicious juicy red berries, orange peel, rosehip, hints of nut and truffle and not least the fabulous touch of dried roses that make everybody to smile. Full-bodied and extremely delicate wine with a wonderfully refined mouthfeel. This is the mother of elegance. Redberry fruit, orange fruit border, herbs and hints of truffle. Fantastic tannin structure. Lacks a little details in the warm growing season, but you will not find a better Barbaresco in the 2011 vintage. Superb wine. 96 points.
