Soft red fruit up front, moves easily into a complex core led by wood (cedar?) and what I can only describe as licking a clean cotton tshirt, finish is long on really pretty soft tannins and a good lick of acidity. Tasted next to a younger Pommard, this was the gentler and more complex wine - surprisingly so, as I would have guessed them the other way around.

Decanted 4 hrs, and yes cue up the JB or the Sly, cause this was Funk City when I poured it in the decanter. Within 20 minutes it was gone and what followed 4 hrs later was very memorable. Please take this with a grain of salt, as my Burg experience pales compared to many, but this to me came across as a dead ringer for Vosne. Specifically, it had the Christmas Tree spice that I have often found on what few VR’s I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy, that gave it this majestic, regal quality and that’s exactly how this gem came across to my wine brain last night. I really believe this would cause havoc in a blind tasting with its French cousins. If this vintage is typical for a strong Clos Electric Rouge, then my lack of purchasing these is borderline criminal. That ends now.

Fairly dark red and purple color. The nose is complex and layered with spice, mushroom, pine needles, and fresh red fruits. This smells like this holidays. the palate is red cherry and tart blackberry, this balanced acidity and a soft texture in the finish. This wine is fantastic.

On the nose: blackberry, raspberry, spice, earth, mushroom. On the palate: lovely acidity, fantastic density, red fruit, soft earth. Another spectacular btl.

medium bodied straightforward strawberry notes on day one; far better on day three when it is bigger, darker, more complex, with Christmas spice, earth (like you find in old Ridge MB cabs); a hint of cedar on the long finish; need to hold these longer, but that is hard to do.

Opened two hours before tasting, and I wish I decanted. Clear reduction on nose and palate that was still there an hour after pouring. Lots of bright red cherry and berry throughout with plenty of depth, very good length, even with just moderately good density. A wine that requires attention and time. Tough to fairly assess tonight.

WOTN (and a big nite); some funk to start, virtually gone after a brief decant; lovely texture; complex red fruit (less ripe/potent than the previous couple of vintages), earth, je ne sais quoi, gravitas; wowsa with fancy fresh wild BBQ salmon. Still learning about Oregon pinots, but this winery is an eye opener

Decanted 4 hrs before drinking. Again, stunning. Just an absolutely spectacular btl of wine, and wine of the night for me (though at this point, I am evidently biased toward the Cameron style). This has Charlopin Gevrey flare with the intensity of New World fruit...

Purchased a number of these after a fantastic experience with the '10, and very glad I did. A hint of reduction on the nose which quickly blows off. Complex nose with funk, black tea, soy sauce, umami and black cherries. Medium tannin. Soft on the palate with red and black cherries and cranberry. A beautiful wine with many years ahead of it. 94 today with potential for higher.

These Cameron clos electrique rouge just keep.getting better. This is better than the 15 or 12 at a similar stage imo. An absolutely pitch perfect btl of young PN. On the nose, soft funky reduction that disappears with air, pure wild strawberry, perfume, earthy spice. On the palate, amazing acidity, wild strawberry, spice, earth. But this is so enveloping, the extract is off the charts, but only 12.4% abv, it can't be! Soft, finely grained tannin on the finish. This is one of the best wines I have had this year, on par with and perhaps better than the 11 Lambrays from January.

Notes from 24 hrs open. This is stunning PN. One might imagine Charlopin Clos de Beze, but this is unabashedly new world. Wow.
