Lovely fruit with herbs- just right. Easy drinking - once opened decanted and tasteful right. Enjoyed wth a grilled herbed seasoned sirloin and salami appetizer.

Quite a wild nose of potting soil, potpourri, cedar and a touch of green herbs.
Lovely midnight palate of crunch red and black fruits. Great acidity carrier through the whole palate. Has a really appealing and interesting saline/sea shell aspect.
Probably the best wine of had from this appellation.
Labeled 13% ABV. 60% Nero d'avila, 40% Frappato.

Nesten svart farge. Sammensatt, tung lukt av modne bær, bjørnebærsyltetøy (uten sukker). Syrlig smak, mye utemmede tanniner. Trenger lufting. Mye snerp i ettersmak.

Very concentrated cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, with medium + tannins and modest earth and oak on the finish. There is a slight leather note on the nose. Clear to the bottom of the glass.
I miss a bit of the mineral character of the Pithos Rosso from the same producer, but this is a joyous wine. Drank with homemade pasta and fresh vodka sauce.

Stunningly beautiful with pure Sicily character, great Cerssuolo. Elegant, med. weight with grand cru like concentration, complex red and black fruit character, licorice and volcanic earth tones, well integrated, perfect age to start drinking. Very cool and probably my WOTN. From Magnum. Thanks Devon. Adrien's b-day

We opened this up because the other Cerasuolo went down so easy. If anything, this is a bit lighter but also a bit denser than the first one. I love the sense of tensile strength that's just laced with layers of red fruits, some darker ones and flowers and herbs layered between. This has a leathery snap to the finish that I love. Man, these have been fun.

60% Nero d'Avola, 40% Frappato bottle left open overnight nose - fresh plum, mouth - light to mid bodied, very clean, sour plum is the predominant flavor I pickup with decent tannins, and nice lingering acidity. Not as concentrated as the Contrada but nevertheless very enjoyable, will complement all sorts of fare.
