Wow. The first sip was electric, full of mouth puckering acidity and fruit flavour. Tasted again after a 2-hour decant. Nectarine, lime, slight hint of butter, beeswax, very moderated use of oak, very long finish. This had fantastic balance between fruit and oak as observed by an earlier TN. Still very young, but not shy. So much energy, this will be pushing 94+ in another 10 years once it has had time for all these wonderful components to come together.
2018 is indeed the defining vintage for Margaret River.

The OG of the game. Biodynamic Chardonnay that screams "drink me with a straw". Absolutely stunning quality, capturing the golden mean between oak and fruit. Reminds me a lot of those examples from Sonoma County. Lots of energy, layers and potential. This has grown SO MUCH over the years and I'm loving it.

Beautiful nose on it. Immediately obvious this has complexity and will benefit from another 5-10 years. Fruit hits the balance, very minor oak at this stage which will grow and develop.

Pronounced nose, with a bit a green funk to it. Pineapple and amazing complexity.

Took 30 mins to wake up. Excellent cut, juicy limey mineral driven citrus and some stone fruits and fresh but long complex finish. Premier cru vibes.

Butter, minerality, lime, tropical fruit and well integrated oak. Nice acidity and fairly long taste.
