  • Incredible nose, lots of fruit. Tannins were not too high. From magnum.

  • An absolute favorite for WS! Opened for 45 minutes and it was really in its spot when I made the first pour. Wonderful red fruit to go with the medium body. Acid is spot on. Still has the same “pop” as the last bottle that was consumed a year ago. Wine is really hitting its stride right now and not sure it will improve from what it is right now. Going to savor the last bottle of this vintage for a liitle while before opening. Will serve it next time with a loveky tomahawk Wagyu ribeye although it was phenomenal with a spicy Diablo sauce meat pizza.

  • One of the most enjoyable WS wines! Medium bodied with great red fruit. Enjoyed while dining at Bouchon after a visit to the winery. Had them give it a 20-minute decant and it started off with a great “pop” when it hit your taste buds. Very smooth with a nice balance of acid and tannins with a great lingering finish. Seems to be hitting its stride right now.

  • Decanted for an hour prior to enjoying with my Thanksgiving dinner (conventional turkey and sides). Medium bodies with wonderful red fruit, moderate-but-clearly-defined acidity and confidently-persuasive tannins - definitely more powerful than many other pinots, but wonderfully seamless and tasty. Likely deserves a higher rating, but I was already under the influence of two previous wines and am choosing to be conservative. With proper decanting it is a gorgeous wine to drink now - likely already at its plateau - but there is no rush. Great for read meats and game, but likely too strong for poultry
