Casual dinner with French friends and some Maconnais/Chalonnaise wines, only brief impressions. Fresh and grassy, almost like a Sancerre, good base level quality.

Clear light yellow. Medium light nose, dominated by lemon, also some brown butter and spice. Neither ripe or tropical. The finish is dry and leaves a clean palate.
Not for long term aging.

Tropical nose and palate, stays lovely and lifted through the mid palate, and then flint signals the end of a long long finish. A delicious wine that is uncomplicated but by no means unserious.

No notes, but what sticks in the memory is that this has a lovely nose. It's a clean light yellow in the glass, and it has a very satisfying palate with medium body. There are tropical fruits, some minerality, crisp acidity and a longish finish. This is dangerously slurpable. It strikes me as still quite young with some potential upside and probably 6+ years enjoyable drinking life ahead. Over 3 days it improved over night and held steady over the next 2 days. Ferret's Pouilly Fuisse represents great value, and I'll actively search out the 2019 vintage.

A little crisper and cleaner than i would have thought. A little tight on the nose too. Rounder on the palate, again, with gumption but showing tight. Let's see where it goes!

Fun to have had this about five months after the 2017 (the tasting note’s here somewhere!) and I’d say Ferret’s thoughtful viticulture made it through the heat pretty well; it’s got lemon oil, light pear, maybe a hint of grassiness and just a touch of stoniness on the nose. The palate’s generous and round, accessible but there’s still nice freshness if not quite the cut of the previous vintage with a nice nutty finish. Still, definitely one of the better ‘18 whites I’ve had so far and something you can safely buy year in and year out.

Clear very light yellow. Great nose, lemon curd, brown butter, more lemon and mineral. Dry medium weight lemon flavours and a perfect finish.
Neither rich, ripe or exotic.
