Pretty delicious for the price. You can taste the Carignan: dark fruits with olives and cayenne pepper on the finish. It tastes like a natural wine with strong, but well balanced, acid.

This is a lesson in not judging a book by its cover. It’s called Love Red and looked like it had been bottled in someone’s shed, not screaming buy me for £18. Red cherry, cough medicine, dried herbs which follows through on the palate which has a pronounced bitter, rose hip, aniseed and cherry note. Tasted at Majestic and had to buy some, despite my initial prejudices.A blend of Carignan, Valdiguié and Petite Sirah.

Fun little red blend. Bright red fruits, a bit of spice and earth. Hint of purple florals as well. No real sign of oak, very fresh and juicy. Medium+ acid, medium tannin. Would be the perfect outdoor BBQ red. Solid QPR.

Shimmeringly clean, juicy fruit aromas and flavours. Just a touch of natural "funk", which adds a fresh note to the bright acidity. Minimal, smooth tannins and an attractive medium ruby colour.
Very well made and polished. So balanced and drinkable. Like a Carignan Beaujolais. Great summer red.

Broc Love Red is the dip your toe route to Natural Wine. It’s for the masses, un-flawed, and pleasant - free of stigma. A Carignan blend for the fringe, that isn’t so fringe. All red berries - cherries, raspberries, touch of spice. Down the middle and still no complaints.

Pale purple wine. On the nose, notes of ripe red fruits and a hint of spice. In the mouth, cranberry, a bit of currant and white pepper. Bright wine with a decent amount of acid. Balanced and solid

Really liked this wine. It works really well on a warm evening and suggest you cool in the fridge before drinking. Reminds me of a good Beaujolais, very fruit forward but charming and most enjoyable.

New look, same deliciousness! The 2018 vintage of Love Red doubles down on the purist of pure fruit - holy heck, is it ever juicy and tangy in all the right ways. As always though, the wine holds on to its sage/foresty quality to keep things in balance while dolling out a heap of mouthwatering Cherry Blasters on the finish. There’s simply no denying how fun this is to drink, yet it still maintains enough character for more thoughtful sipping and great food pairings. This vintage is a little more Carignan driven at 77%, up from 50% last year, with Valdiguié (15%) and Syrah (8%) completing the blend. Love Red remains an absolute staple for us, with good reason.
