aged well. Decant for about 30 mins. Dark fruit, cassis, cedar, some tar and graphite. Tannins still present but going to get any better. This Drink now - it's really good!

Each bottle a little better than the last. Definitely needs a good decant, because better on Day 2. Hits all the right notes for Pessac: cedar box, black cherry, leather and dry dirt. Tannins still kicking, but just barely. Taunt, short finish.

Nowhere near the elegance or muscle of some of the iconic names from this appellation, but what can you expect for $15? This bottle was better than the first, but definitely needed a good decant. Red and black fruit, plum and leather on the nose; black cherry, leather and brett on the palate. No tannins to speak of. Weak finish.

Popped and poured. Good color. Dark fruit, leather on the nose. Medium bodied, with blast of fruit (blue and black berries) that fades quickly on the palate. Tannins there, but not overpowering. Not sure what all the fuss is about with this one. Ordinary, but a good value at $15?

Just peeking into the "Very Good" range for me. Lots of rich red and blue berries throughout with just a touch of spice and smoked meat. Never really seemed to evolve in the glass, though. I was hoping that the forwardness of the fruit at the pop would mellow out with air, but that didn't happen, which made it a bit too in your face for me. That said, I found it pretty reflective of the typical Pessac-Leognan flavor profile, and for $15, there's really not much to complain about here.

Excellent deal. Big nose with black fruits and cassis. Palate is approachable without huge tannin. Good fruits, and the finish is a bit short. A huge buy at $15.

Aromatic wine upon opening - cedar, tobacco, cassis. Very soft tannins, good acidity. Fruit is not very aparent, alcohol not aparent. Goes well with food, but not very complex.

This a good to very good wine. Straight-forward, modern, and juicy. This is not a bright, red-fruit wine. A little Bordeaux cedar is nice. Smoky aroma is distinctive, too. No funk, chemical, or other flaws. This is not, however, a complex or remotely nuanced wine.

this bottle convinced me less than the previous ones, still young with some bitterness at the end of the midpalate

feels like you are drinking the terroir in stead of the grapes, not an elegant wine, but I like it!!! very good P/Q ratio and back to basics

I like this, if you search for an affordable example of the typical Pessac-Léognan taste, this is the wine you must try

Very satisfying. Leather notes upon opening - light tannins brought us into a very blackberry experience
