This is very very good. Not big and rich and certainly a leaner style but still good fruit. 13% ABV - initially comes across as quite lean and sharp, almost like an older school Chablis Some gentle oak on nose. Very quickly softens a touch and gives some creamier elements though retaining a dry and acid driven uplift at the end. Time in bottle may improve but if you like a leaner, energetic style this may be perfect now

Purchased at the winery upon release. Brought to Madrona for a birthday dinner. Notes are limited.
A really lovely wine possessing great balance. Bottle opened and allowed to air for 15 minutes, since the wine was a bit closed at first. This wine is also a candidate for decanting; instead, I opted to chill the bottle further.
Quite elegant and showing what a California Chardonnay can achieve. Lots of green pear, white flowers, and just a touch of green olive. To me, the use of oak is fairly discreet, allowing the wonderful fruit flavors to take center stage. Very well balanced with lovely acidity. Not at all thick or ponderous. Think combination of Chablis and White Burgundy. Outstanding. One of the best wine so far this year.
(Table shared two salads, one of figs with blue cheese and the other of peaches, celtus and almonds; both local. My entrée was a wonderful grilled black cod.)

Opened this expecting it to be too young but this is perfect rn imo. Yellow apples, butterscotch and a creamy mouthfeel with orange and a berry yogurt finish. Just beautiful, not much else to say.

Outstanding from start to finish. Light gold, flinty nose with white flowers and zest, silky, silky, silky with a finish that goes on and on. And did I say balanced? Littorai wines are so consistently good (and yes, pricy) and it is always a treat to taste one.

Light golden colour. Butterscotch on the nose, impressive density and persistence on the palate with really well judged acidity. Not fruity feels buttery without the flab (which sounds like a contradiction in terms!) and nice line of salinity too. Very well balanced with a long finish. Really very satisfying.

A weekend in Sonoma, Act I-Littorai, Copain, Red Car (Sonoma County, California, USA): Nose: The nose is complex and deep with spiced pears, apples, meyer lemons, navel oranges, saline, salty notes, and a good bit of white flowers. There is a real expressiveness to the nose that is immensely attractive along with excellent tension between the fruit and the saline/salty tones.
Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with crisp, medium+ acidity. The acidity has some real zip and a mouthwatering effect while the feel is textured and balanced with spiced pears, apples, meyer lemons, navel oranges, saline, and white flowers.
Overall: This could use some air before drinking, but it is a real class Chardonnay. There is just that hint of salinity that adds extra intrigue along with excellent balance and depth across the nose and palate.

Thought this was really good. Leaner style with nice cut of acidity, but still has that depth and coiling I look for in a good chardonnay.
Should do well for another 10 years minimum.

Holy shit this wine so good. Some of the Benovia chards had been disappointing lately. Not the case with this one. SO worth it.

Amazing, complex wine. Great acidity, beautiful balanced - tropical notes, wax, honey. Top level Chard from Sonoma (best I ever had)

Fatkaraktär som inte är påträngande utan väl integrerad. Citrus, lite äpple och hög syra. Mycket bra.
