I think it's still early to open this. While the 2016 drinks beautifully at this time. the 2017 is still closed and on the acidic side and will require more patience. I'd keep it in the cellar for another 2 years.

Belle couleur brunate et translucide.Beau nez sur la rose et les cerises. Les tannins sont fins et encore assechant. Manque cependant de longueur et de complexité.

Similar to before. Now finished the previously Coravined bottle (almost 7 months since initial tap; see prior review)—still did not seem to have had any negative impact. Improved somewhat over the course of an hour, as it aired and warmed. Also tasted after a leftover amount was left out in its glass, at room temperature for around 16 hours: it was fairly sour, with a touch of vinegar, lacking in body, and too flawed to drink. (First consumed with exceptional company and then alone the day after, as described. Rating suppressed—see other reviews; done to prevent my multiple notes on this bottle overly influencing reviews.)

(Mostly correctly stored, mostly at 13°C. Tasted via Coravin, around 16–20°C, without aeration nor any food; second Coravin for this bottle, 6 months elapsed.) Similar to previous, but even better. Whilst not correctly-stored (room temp., including up to 25°C on average, with later transport as well). We did, however, first decant this, and leave it out for over an hour (in the decanter), with additional periodic agitation. Quite nice indeed, with elevated aroma and complexity. Somewhat longer finish than before: probably would classify as medium+. (Consumed with exceptional company, over a casual steak dinner.) (Rated here, as another main evaluation; only this and one other score are retained to prevent overly influencing scores.)

Understated, vinous, elegant, but lacks concentration and depth. Nevertheless, I rather enjoy it. Oranges, red currants, cinnamon, and licorice. Prominent acidity and so much better with grilled meat than on its own. This is anything but a crowd pleaser, so at odds with its relatively low price. Drink now - 2027.

Barolo giovane ma strutturato, al naso profumi consistenti e gradevoli. Al palato austero, cuoio e legno in evidenza, ma comunque abbastanza equilibrato e tannini di qualità. È stata una piacevole sorpresa. Ottimo Barolo, beva appagante fin da subito.

Excellent example of Barolo - maybe some more years in the bottle will help but I think it is already excellent. Tart and pure - beautiful fruit, perfumed nose, lovely bottle of wine.

Farge medium mørk rød, mørkere enn man ofte ser på Nebbiolo. På nesen virkelig helt nydelig, med flotte rødbærsaromaer, roser osv. I munnen langt enklere; det er nesten så man angrer på at man ikke bare ble sittende og sniffe. 😅 Her er tjære og syre mest fremtredende, men frukten følger med et stykke på vei. Tanninene er moderate til fersk Barolo å være. Den har ikke all verdens lengde, men til prisen på 200 kr kan man jo ikke forvente all verden. Nå er vel heller ikke årgangen den beste; det hadde vært interessant å teste 2016 og denne opp mot hverandre! En slant ble spart til dag 2. Da var den nydelige duften fra dag 1 forduftet (literally speaking!) og ettersmaken enda kortere. Konklusjon: For de som nøyer seg med å bare lukte, er vinen et røverkjøp! 😬 For oss som også gjerne vil drikke den, blir den i korteste og enkleste laget. Etter min vurdering. Forsåvidt verd prisen. (Siden Barolo stort sett koster mye mer.)

A clear rose purple, reminiscent of pilot noir. Probably I didn't give it time to properly breath, but I got hearher, aniseed, raspberry, spices, heather. Medium full mouthful with a solid well balanced acidic backbone, tight tannins that shut down the length a little too early. Next time I will decant for a couple of hours. Might also develop with another few years laying down.
