A beautiful, grenache-heavy (85%) CdP. Floral aromatic nose, with cedar wood, black pepper and ripe fruit on the palate. Wonderfully long finish. Love it.

Bosquet des Papes Zoom Tasting. Tasted in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of sweet roobois red tea, florals, licorice, sweet baking spices, dark red cherries, bit of dark red plums. Developing. On the palate, dry, good high acidity, high alcohol (15.5%), high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red tea, licorice, fine exquisite chocolate, sweet baking spices, sensual elegant dark red cherries, redcurrant, dark red plums, dried figs, dusty earth minerality lingering. Long fine grippy finish. Very good quality. Complex, elegant, deep CdP. Just a tad hot alcoholic. Good future over the next 6-8 years. 85% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre.

Opened last night. Very dark garnet, virtually opaque, glass-staining. Soft red fruit in the nose, bit of garrigue. Much ado about garrigue in the mouth. Grippy too. Drinkable, but should last a long time. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

Elegant, plush, soft and fresh, with a strong floral essence which is accompanied with a nice sweetness to all the red fruits. Silky, refined, soft and generous with a gorgeous sense of purity to the fruits in the finish. The wine blends 85% Grenache with 15% Mourvedre.

Very typical Rhone. Quite disappointing for the price.
