  • Bottle opened yesterday, sat on the counter just slow oxing. Dark cherry, some juicy notes, with a good dollop of oak adding some dark cocoa. The finish is spicy and lively, with a kick of acid right on the back end of the wine, along with same dark cocoa note and iron. Whether the aeration helped the wine soften or it's the inherent style, this is approachable now, surely medium weighted, with a nice blend of modern Napa yet the wine doesn't feel heavy or dense to me. For around $50, this rings for a good fit for 'Napa Cab', with the enough oak and ripeness to attract the senses yet not get overboard, nor empty your wine budget.
