Burgundian in style, this is a well balanced chardonnay from Oregon. No one element sticks out too much, and the winemaking shows a great mastery of MLF as oak aging, which can’t be said about much else in the new world. This wine was a solid 89 for me on day one, but it really took its sweet time with slow ox, and on day two it was singing and worth of the 91pts I’m giving it. Let this wine breathe, it needs air to show its best stuff.

Tasted at winery. Pale gold, aromatics of citron, florals subtle baking spice; palate medium minus intensity and slightly anemic. Medium minus length in finish, 88

I found the fruit in this wine to be very lean with tart acidity.
