  • Dark cherry notes, still pretty tannic.

Very good, but lacks the depth of better wines.

    Went well with paneer pizza.

    89 points.

  • Could go another couple of years easily. Nice fruit, just a touch of tannin, but to overpowering. Very lovely.

  • Day 1: Very good featuring cassis, tobacco, spice, dust and wood. This offers amazing value and each bottle has impressed. 92 points
Day 2: Even better on day 2. Classic Bordeaux like wine. Tobacco, cassis, spices, dust, wood and earth. This is amazing. I hate over the top Napa Cabs and this is not one of them. Confirmed 3 times tasting this wine. If only Caymus could make a wine this good! 93+ points
Day 3: Excellent again with oak, cassis, spice, earth, dust, tobacco and gravel. Outstanding wine and far superior to the Napa Valley Cabernet from Mondavi. For $30 one of the better values of the year.
Day 4: As good as it has been wanted to see if it could go 4 days. Yes it can! Has not lost a beat and as good as day 2/3. Tobacco, cassis, minerals, spice, gravel and dust. Medium plus finish and concentrated effort. 93+
    Recommendation: Buy!

  • Great wine. Steady structure, dry and solid.

  • I'm amazed to see some the prices (mid-$20's) others paid; I wasn't one of them. About $50 in 2018, a sentimental and spontaneous buy because 'Maestro' is also the name of my favorite cat who is doing poorly at the moment, hence we drank this--a prayer in wine, as it were. Not decanted. Initial flavors of jammy, roasted red fruit acquired heft and freshness over time with cassis, bay leaf and tobacco. The tannins became more apparent too and a wine that initially seemed on the edge of expiration ended up showing further cellar potential. Very good.

  • Napa “Bdx style” blend. Dark ruby, slight rimming. Nose shows lots of fruit, dark berries, cherry and oak, a bit of heat. Palate is similar with velvety tannins and well balanced. If anything pokes out it’s the alcohol. Drinking well now, an enjoyable Napa treat that is very true to the region. Alas, for me, Bdx still sits above. Purchased @ VIWF 2020

  • 11/4/20 Used Vino to pour 2 glasses. It was really good. Very bold, oaky, smokey, but still fruity at the same time.

  • A nice blended wine made from "Blessed Grapes", at least according to the label. Not sure who may have done the blessing, but the grapes make a nice red wine.

  • Big, brooding, and grapey. A tinge of mocha and cassis raises it’s head at the end. Going to sit on my others for a couple note years and I think this will come together nicely.

  • Retailer tasting. Dark ruby colour. Dark fruit, coffee, spice and vanilla, with supporting acidity, fine tannin and very good length of the oaky finish. Good structure and very good concentration. Palate-coating. Young, but moreish. Should age well. 91+

  • Slight sharp aftertaste. Have tasted this before on other wines and it aged away after 2-3 years. Might just be this bottle but going to let this sit another year before trying again

  • I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but took the plunge for $26.99 at Costco. Verdict - I liked it. Very smooth, nice fruit, great finish. I would buy more.

  • Not really enamored with this wine like others have posted. WS scored this 92 pts. I found it to be rather hollow and short. There was some pleasant fruit and oak aromas and flavors , but not a very inspiring or exciting wine. Now I know why it is heavily discounted in some areas. I paid $27.99 and would not buy again.

  • Day 1: Classic Napa Valley. Bright fruit featuring cherry, plum and blueberries along with spice, coffee beans, oak and graphite. This is delicious and at $30 a bottle a super steal.
65 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 % Merlot, 9 % Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec, 4 % Petit Verdot. Back the truck up on this one. 93 points
Day 2: This is not as good on day 2 but still solid. Coffee beans, cherry, spice, mild oak and minerals. The pop and pour was where its at on this wine. I will revisit day 3 but this one might want to be consumed on the younger side. 90 points
Day 3: Similar to day 2. Just lost that bright fruit on initial pop and pour. Based on this bottle I would not decant this wine and cellaring low term is not recommended. 90 points
Recommendation: To be enjoyed and consumed on the short term. No decant necessary.
Day 3.5 update. More intense than earlier in the day. Nice coffee beans, graphite, spice, cherry, plum and minerals. Between day 1 and 3 quality.

  • Left Bank Bordeaux style from Napa. Part of The cab grapes come from the famed To Kalon vineyards. Definitely want to decant min 30 minutes preferably 1 hour +. Otherwise a little tight and tannic. Tasted better on day 2 even after an hour secant. Most red w some blue fruits but not overbearing. Got at Leukins for $28 vs $58 at total wine which is a great QPR. Will be stocking up wine cellar with this one at this price. Great sipping wine. Nite each vintage varies based upon where they decide to source their fruit. This is for the 2015. Other years have had a higher Merlot
    Portion etc.

  • Surprisingly good. Didn't expect much after a bottle about 3 years ago, but with the nearly 4 years on vintage now, found it had opened the kimono, displaying classic Napa cassis and black fruit, nice grippy tannins, a deep purple-black color with aromas to match, and a good balance across the long finish. Everyone at the table remarked how much they liked it.
