Tasted over 3 days. Deep ruby in the light. Aromas of clove (esp. day 1) and dark fruits. On the palate, greeted with appealing dark fruits, allspice, pepper. Those tastes fade rather abruptly (again, mostly on day 1) to sour cherry, and a saltiness with the rise of med/strong, grippy tannins. This, like the Epoch Authenticity opened last week, begs for more time I look forward to more nuance and complexity in the next few years. Holding remaining bottles

Deep ruby color. Medium intensity aromas of dark cherry, black tea leaf, cassis and anise with developing characteristics. Medium acidity and dry on the palate with medium [+] intensity flavors of same with additional cedar and black pepper notes, medium tannins, high alcohol (15.4 ABV not unusual for central coast) with a medium finish. Altogether very good and pleasant wine for meat courses, fire 🔥 pits or a nightcap. Can drink now has potential for further aging.
