Not my style, however more restrained/cool/old world in style than expected. Oak relatively restrained particularly on the nose, more present on the palate. Clearly well made. Balanced and M+ acid.

Char Char was a great bargain find last year -- friends and I drank cases of it and considered it underrated here, especially at an average price under $15/bottle. Today, it seemed less special and time may have caught up with it. Still good fruit and acidity, but with less zip than before. A good time to be down to our last bottle.

Typical RRV Chard with tangy citrus fruits and hints of coconut. We enjoy this wine as an easy to drink and not over powering oak. Nicely balanced with the right amount of acidity.

nose: vanilla taste: heavy bodied, smooth, a few tropical fruits like pineapple vaguely. definitely malo and oak influence in taste. car: ‘73 imperial lebaron
overall, not bad but not my style

Lemon guava and floral notes on the nose. Similar on palate. Just the right amount of oak, balanced with good acidity. Very clean finish. Superb chard. Was enjoying while preparing a spicy thai style scallop dish and once we got to dinner it lost a bit. Not sure if the sriracha muted something or what happened but ended not the best pairing. Will have to experiment with other pairings. Super happy to have a case in the cellar so lots of experiments to come.
Straw color. Pretty forward tropical aromas, a bit of vanilla and some toast. Creamy, rich, soft on the palate. More topical fruit here, some peach joins the party. No structure to speak of. All up front and immediate, exuberant — not a bad thing.
This is a well made Cali Chardonnay with a level of ripeness that is too high for me. I think this does what they wanted it to do.

Candle wax on the nose. Still plenty of oak, but not overpowering. Some tropical notes, too. Simple.

Solid well balanced and a good QPR. Definite oak influences and good acidity too. Tropical.

Wow! I am super-happy with this buy. Classic Russian River Chard. Racy yet round. Not too much oak. Hits the spot!!
