  • I drink this with the beautiful rib eyes from Texas Roadhouse when i visit Fairborn OH... perhaps anything would taste good with these steaks but for an el cheapo Cab this surprises.

  • A friend gave this to me as I was moving out and I decided to give it a try. I was quite pleased!

Dark, opaque ruby in color, this wine had quite a bit of oak on the nose along with the scent of dark fruit. Full-bodied, the oak is quite apparent and lends itself to a rather smooth texture that complements the reasonably rich tannins. It's very fruit forward and it meets one with black currants, blackberry, some earth and yet more oak. Dry but short-lived finish.

My wife's input (of course): "Who pickled the eggs??"

Quite heavy on the oak but this makes a great easy-drinking wine. Thanks for the bottle!
