Chilled, popped and poured. Very aromatic nose of flinty tropical fruit. Ever so waxy mouthfeel with lots of minerality and fresh tropical fruit. Not at all heavy, oaky or sweet, very much on the steely side. Blind I would definitely have called this as a cool Sauvignon Blanc rather than a Chenin. Better than a year ago, more giving and full bodied.

Maybe too young? Definitely very dry. Fresh flavor of lemon/lime, but acid toned down relative to sauvignon blanc - I like that. The finish was clean and crisp, but lacked the light lemon rind bitterness that I have associated with the best chenin blancs that I have had.
Definitely not bad, but not looking to drink more.

Fresh apples and a vibrant acidity definitely set this apart from your standard Loire Chenin. Good summer drinker and a great neutral food match. There is no way I would have deduced this was a Chenin from a blind taste.

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over 3 to 4 hours --
NOSE: expressive; strong mineral; intense floral stone fruit; hint of soft spearmint.
BODY: medium-light to medium bodied; under Nomacorc; green-yellow color of light intensity.
TASTE: juicy acidity; strong mineral aspect, too, but it's situated behind plenty of ripe, expressive, fruit (peach donut ring gummy candies); 13.7% alc. is a little noticeable. Very nice. Should never be mistaken for a Vouvray or Saumur. Bought a bunch for summertime quaffing.

Fresh and rounded lemon, peach, and honeysuckle. Very good acidity balance. Great with a wide range of food parings and lively on its own.
